Honey Sesame Chicken

Sometimes after a long10 hours work (note the word 'sometimes'), I find it really really dreadful to prepare dinner afterwards. Take out? sure, at a relatively expensive price though. So very often, I like to experiment for simple recipes that takes less than half an hour to prepare & keep them handy; and this delicious honey sesame chicken that is done in 20minutes is surely a keeper for a quick weekday dinner recipe.

Honey Sesame Chicken
Ingredient:-
250g chicken breast
1½ tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon soy sauce
½ tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 egg (or just the yolk, if you have left over yolk)
2 tablespoon cornstarch
1 spring onion, chopped
dashes of white pepper
1 - 2 tablespoon vegetable oil

Method:-
1. Cut the chicken into 1" pieces. Mix egg and cornstarch and add in chicken pieces to coat. Add a few dashes of white pepper to taste. Set aside for 10minutes.
2. Combine honey, soy sauce, oyster sauce & sesame seed in a small bowl and set aside.
3. Heat oil over medium heat in a wok / pan. When hot, add chicken and cook until pink.
4. Add the sauce mixture and coat chicken well. Cook until sauce thickens and chicken cooked, then add spring onion.
5. Toss for 30seconds, dish out and serve.

Different brands of soy sauce has different level of saltiness. Adjust yours to taste. If too salty, then add in a pinch of sugar or increase the volume of honey. Happy cooking :)
