Spicy Sauce Pan Fried Tofu

This is one of the dish where Mr.T and I have to get into a fight for the last piece, simply because we both love it so much. To make this tofu dish more tempting, the preparation is also very easy, perfect for weekday cooking.

Fried Tofu with Spicy Ginger Sauce


Ingredient:-
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. honey
2 tsp. red chili sauce or 2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
1 garlic clove, finely minced
1 Tbsp. toasted sesame oil
2 tsp. fresh grated ginger
1 tsp. sesame seeds
one 14oz container of firm tofu
2 scallions sliced diagonally for garnish


Sauce:-
Whisk together soy sauce, honey,chilli, garlic, sesame oil, ginger & sesame seeds, set aside until ready to serve.


Method:-
1. Remove tofu from container & pat dry pressing in between 2 pieces of paper towel. Slice the tofu crosswise into 8 thin & equal pieces. Continue to pat the tofu dry, so it won't splash too much during frying.
2. Heat the oil in a pan & add the tofu. Make sure not to over-crowd the pieces.
3. Arrange tofu slices on dish & pour sauce over it. Garnish with sliced scallions.
